PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Description:
Through spiritual leadership and proper management, you will lead in developing a team in the area to carry out Grounded’s Mission “To build a community where generations come together to live by faith, to be known by love and to be a voice of hope.” Carrying out responsibilities necessary and upholding all Grounded’s policies and procedures.

Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health, and church relationships.
Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry'' includes events, major donor care, public relations. (the Program Manager will just provide information and insight into resource development as far as fundraising and budgeting)
Direct Ministry / Program — “Proclaiming, modeling and creating” contact work, club/after school program, one on one studies, group studies, events, and managing the facilities day to day operations and schedules.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management, and strategic plan.
Training:

Qualifications:
- A call to reach kids with the Gospel.
- Must have experience in managing and building programs and working with and creating teams.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Compensation:
- $45K per year salary
- 40 Hours per week, plus special events as scheduled
- 2 weeks paid vacation (cannot be carried over from year to year)
- 8 paid sick days (not to be used as vacation, does not carry over from year to year)
- Paid Holidays (receiving an extra $100 per holiday apart from your salary, must be cleared thru the Board)
- Any raises will depend upon job performance and budget.
Responsibilities:
Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health, and church relationships.
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and a sincere commitment to understanding God’s Word.
- Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community.
- Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Grounded Inc community.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Ensure that all Grounded Inc ministry in the area is designed and carried out with a dependence on prayer that takes place out of the overflow of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.
- Partner with the committee and advisory board to cast a vision for reaching “every kid” within the defined area.
- Develop consistent gatherings with committee, leaders and staff to build unity and provide vision and direction.
- Create a spiritual leadership plan for volunteer leaders, staff and committee members in the area.
- Recruit and train new staff and leaders to build leadership teams that reflect the community.
- Supervise, develop and evaluate area staff, providing resources and experiences needed to implement the vision.
- Model excellence in contact work, club/after school program/others onsite and off-sight
- Train leaders and team leaders how to work effectively in teams and develop a yearly ministry strategy.
Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry'' includes events, major donor care, public relations. (the Program Manager will just provide information and insight into resource development as far as fundraising and budgeting)
- Provide insight to the teams and committee in the efforts to find partners to own the area vision and budget.
- Provide insight to the Board to Develop and lead the area’s fundraising strategy and ensure excellence in communication to donors.
- Provide insight to the Board to raise the necessary funds to carry out the ministry vision for the local area, keeping the area consistently in surplus (goal is a six-month cash reserve minimum).
- Help Build the Grounded Inc brand via public relations as an excellent tool for working with youth in the area.
- Help coordinate and conduct quality events which reflect Grounded Inc’s capacity to impact kids and warrant the investment of a participant’s personal and corporate resources.
Direct Ministry / Program — “Proclaiming, modeling and creating” contact work, club/after school program, one on one studies, group studies, events, and managing the facilities day to day operations and schedules.
- Actively engage in all six levels of contact and management.
- Lead or co-lead all models of Grounded Inc
- Observe and evaluate each of the schools/ministries in the local area on a yearly basis.
- Develop and implement ongoing plans to maximize Gospel proclamation.
- Create and manage special events.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management, and strategic plan.
- Adhere to all Grounded Inc policies and procedures and maintain professionalism concerning office hours, dress, conduct and time management.
- Work beside the Board Treasurer to manage finances with stewardship, accountability and transparency using mission applications.
- Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors for area records.
- Provide clear, prompt, appropriate and professional communication to everyone involved in ministry.
- Set a yearly strategic ministry plan and initiatives to reach every kid; review them on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience and area needs.
- Accept both short- and long-term assignments of projects.
Training:
- Participation in ongoing training as the Board sees fit.
- Participate in programs designed for personal spiritual maturity or personal enrichment.
- Meet with the Board Chairman and/or Vice Chairman once a week for accountability and training.
