Brian truckey
founder of Grounded
I was born and raised in Green Bay, WI... Go Packers! (I have to get that one in there.) I have been an entrepreneur officially since I was a Junior in High School, my main focus was in IT. I started serving in ministry leadership in 2002, at Green Bay Community Church. In 2003, my focus and heart quickly changed towards outreach. I served with Young Life in Green Bay, as a volunteer leader and volunteer team leader, at Bay Port High School until 2012. It was then, the Lord called my wife and I on staff with Young Life in Bigfork, MT. I served as Area Director until 2016. The Lord closed that door, and through months of prayer, the vision became clear for a new ministry, Grounded. I'm so excited for this ministry, I am honored and humbled to be leading the charge. God has done so many amazing things for my family and I, and we continue to see confirmations from God surrounding our hopes and prayers for Grounded. I know there are even greater things to come! Currently, I also have an consulting company Truckey Enterprises LLC, and owner of Ink Innovators LLC (Ink and toner sales.)
I've been married to an amazing woman, Marci, since 2006. (Yes, I married up!) We have 5 kids... Sierra, Noah, Micah, Ellie, Leia. (We also consider Danny, Logan & Devin our bonus sons.) We have a Bernese Mountain Dog, and two cats. We love to go hiking, camping, swimming, floating Swan River, hunting, fishing, skiing, ice skating and more. We are so blessed to call Bigfork home, and so excited to be a part of Grounded here! |

founder of grounded
My name is Marci Truckey, and I've been married to Brian since 2006. We have 5 beautiful kids together, plus 3 bonus sons, and a home full of love and chaos. I have been in youth ministry since 2006, but it wasn't always my main focus. I became a mom at the age of 19, and ultimately didn't begin my relationship with Christ until the age of 24. As I came to know Him more and more, I had a desire to pour into young people who were like me (in my teen years)... alone, lost and lonely. As soon as God blessed me with the chance to do ministry with teens, I loved every second of the fun, the friendships, and the opportunity to show them how amazing God's love is. Eventually, I felt there was a group of teens that wasn't being reached out to enough. After being in Montana for a year, the Lord led me to a teen mom camp in Oregon, and I fell in love with that ministry. Knowing exactly what it's like to have your world turned upside down by an unexpected pregnancy, and all the challenges that follow...I knew this was exactly where I wanted wanted to be. I started the ONLY teen mom group in the valley in 2013, and I haven't looked back. Over the past few years, we've seen that the challenges moms face go beyond the teen years, and have expanded to working with moms in their 20's, starting in 2017. As the coordinator, I hope to not only provide the moms with love and support from Christ-centered mentors, who are also experienced moms, but free food and childcare. We also strive to offer resources that guide moms in parenting, education, and in future careers.
