the team & LEADERSHIP
We have a passion for people, our city and our world. Our culture and leadership is characterized by worship, the love of God, and a genuine call to ministry. These core values have been shaped by our rich history of great volunteers and energy; always pressing forward in our call to love God and love others.
Brian truckey | founder of Grounded
I was born and raised in Green Bay, WI... Go Packers! (I have to get that one in there.) I have been an entrepreneur officially since I was a junior in High School, my main focus was in IT. I started serving in ministry leadership in 2002, at Green Bay Community Church. In 2003, my focus and heart quickly changed towards outreach. I served with Young Life in Green Bay, as a volunteer leader and volunteer team leader, at Bay Port High School until 2012. It was then, the Lord called my wife and I on staff with Young Life in Bigfork, MT. I served as Area Director until 2016. The Lord closed that door, and through months of prayer, the vision became clear for a new ministry, Grounded. He also made the Grounded Teen Center project very clear, and thanks to so many volunteers and donors, we were able to pull together an awesome space for high schoolers to use after school. Our hope was to make an extension of a living room and kitchen, so that teens can come in, eat, relax, and when needed, have conversations with safe (backgrounded checked) adults who care about them. I'm so excited for this ministry, I am honored and humbled to be leading the charge. God has done so many amazing things for my family and I, and we continue to see confirmations from God surrounding our hopes and prayers for Grounded. I know there are even greater things to come!
I've been married to an amazing woman, Marci, since 2006. (Yes, I married up!) We have 5 kids... Sierra, Noah, Micah, Ellie, and Leia. (We also consider Danny, Logan & Devin our bonus sons.) We love to go hiking, camping, swimming, floating Swan River, hunting, fishing, skiing, ice skating, and more. We are so blessed to call Bigfork home, and are so excited to be a part of Grounded here!

MARCI TRUCKEY | Co-founder of grounded
My name is Marci Truckey, and I've been married to Brian since 2006. We have 5 beautiful kids together, plus 3 bonus sons, and a home full of love and chaos. I have been in youth ministry since 2006, but it wasn't always my main focus. Brian and I have seen God's hand in everything that we've done with Grounded... including the amazing Teen Center we offer to high school students. Because I love cooking, you'll often find me cooking up a snack, or having conversations in the kitchen. I'm also a big fan of music and puzzles, and Grounded is the perfect place to enjoy both. Grounded also strives to offer resources that guide students in finding what they're passionate about, furthering education, and in planning their future. That's why we are thankful for every mentor and volunteer that comes in to spend with students. A kind heart and listening ear can make a huge difference in a teen's life, especially when life gets hard.
I pray that every kid who walks through the door of the Grounded Teen Center feels welcome, safe, and cared for.. and know that THEY ARE LOVED!
